Dorothy Marie Wendel, 89, of Bay City passed away July 17, 2018. She was born September 7, 1928 in El Campo, Texas to Willie and Louise Kubesch Kasparek.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Henry J. "Tata" Wendel. She is survived by her daughters Irene Parr and husband Johnny, Adeline Tedder and husband Tommie, and Maryann Rush and husband Dennis; son Donald Wendel; sister Lillian Hundl; grandchildren Stacey Johnson and husband Jimmie, Vanessa Ferguson and husband Cody, Shanna Tedder, Amy Tedder, Justin Rush and Jarret Rush; great-grandchildren Hunter Ferguson, Tristen Ferguson, Ty Ferguson, Malorie Johnson, Matthew Johnson, J.T. Beaseley and Chesney Beaseley.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-7:00pm Friday, July 20 at the funeral home. Services are 2:00pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Rambo officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Justin Rush, Jarret Rush, Tom Hundl, Cody Ferguson, Jimmie Johnson and Kenneth Schoenvogel.
