Dorothy Lynn Sindel Smallwood, 78, of Bay City passed away August 3, 2015. She was born October 12, 1936 in East Bernard, TX to the late Jim Sindel and Bessie Fojtik Sindel.

She was preceded in death by one son Daniel Ellis. Survivors include her husband Jimmie Smallwood of Bay City; daughters Ramona Smallwood, Sonja Kjergaard & husband Todd both of Bay City and Yvonne Mader of Wharton; sons Dennis Ellis & wife Mikki of Kilgore, TX and Dwayne Smallwood of Bay City and grandchildren Daniel & Matthew Ellis, Zachary Smallwood, Logan Smallwood, Ashley Stephens, Ethan &Kelsey Kjergaard, Jahsen Dilger, Savanna Paul, Misty Tyler and Michael Mader and a number of great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Logan Smallwood, Zachary Smallwood, Ethan Kjergaard, Christian Oyler, Matthew Ellis and Joseph Ward.
