Dorothy Hennessy Morris, 91, of Bay City passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Bay City. She was born February 16, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to the late John Henry & Juna Corn Goates. Dorothy has been a life long resident of Matagorda County, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City, Eastern Star, Paul Harris Fellow, and Flora Luncheon Study Club.

She is survived by her daughter: Rhonda Broussard & husband Kent of Bay City; daughter-in-law: Jade Hennessey of Bay City; 7 grandchildren: Kip, Troy, Wendy, Lyia, Laurie, Lynne, and Leanne; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Howard Travis Hennessy; second husband: C. L. Morris; son: Jimmy Howard Hennessy; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Cedarvale Cemetery with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating.
