Dorothy Margaret Brown, 87, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 in Bay City, Texas. She was born January 11, 1928 in Luling, Texas to Joseph John and Margaret Neidt Janca. She married Billy Brown on July 26, 1949 in Luling, Texas.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid bowler and owned and operated Brown's Western Wear in Van Vleck, Texas for 25 years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Billy Brown; brothers Joseph Janca, James Ray Janca and John David Janca. Survivors include daughters Brenda Wick (Bobby) of Weimar, Texas and Dottie Lucas (Worth, Jr.) of Van Vleck, Texas; grandchildren Scott Wick (Jody), Courtney Ohnheiser (Stephen), Corie Young (Chris) and Trey Lucas (Layne); great-granddaughters Reagan, Natalie, Brooke, Emma, Ellen and Layten and numerous other family members.
The family will receive visitors 5-7pm Tuesday, February 3 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. Private graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday in Luling, Texas.
