Dorothy Mae Knebel Jenkins, 85, of Palacios passed away April 11, 2016. She was born April 29, 1930 in Midfield, TX to the late Frank Knebel and Emily Ripper Knebel. She was a graduate of Blessing High School.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Joseph William "Billy" Jenkins, Jr. of Palacios; daughter Mary Ann Jenkins of Houston; son Joe Jenkins III & wife Martha of Palacios; grandchildren J. W. Jenkins IV and Justin Jenkins and wife Charity and great grandchildren Scarlett & Jase Jenkins.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2015 at the 1st United Methodist Church in Palacios with Rev. David King officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Knebel, George Knebel, Justin Jenkins, J. W. Jenkins IV, Eddie Knebel and Kenny Christensen. Travis Hicks will serve as honorary pallbearer.
