Dorothy Nadine Hurdt, 84, of Bay City passed away August 23, 2008. She was born August 30, 1923 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to the late Watt Columbus & Alice Tooman Carruth. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Matagorda General Hospital.

She married Paul Duane Hurdt, Sr. Dec. 14, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death as well as her brothers Warren, Leon & Glen Carruth and sister June Beasley.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Rudd & husband Jerry of Lake Jackson; son Paul D. Hurdt, Jr. & wife Brenda of Texarkana, TX; sisters Delora Lee of Waldron, Arkansas & Waldine Stephens of Giddings, TX; sister-in-law Lois Carruth of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Trenton Ziegenhals of Bay City, Angela & Terry Hopkins of Surprise, AZ, Kerry & Pam Rudd of Marshall, MI, Vicki & Steve Hand of New Caney, TX and Mike & Martha Rudd of Honduras; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces & nephews. She also leaves behind her special friends Jeanne Powers, Lillian Chancey, Madge Morton, Madelyn & Kirby Dismukes, Buna Patterson and Marilyn & Louis Ziegenhals.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 3pm to 5pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 25, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bay City.
