Dorothy Mae Brewer 73, of Palacios died October 3, 2005 at her residence. She was born March 9, 1932 in Gidings, TX to the late Charles and Irene Martha Daniels Redkey. Mrs. Brewer was a resident of Palacios since 1967 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gidings.
Survivors include: husband: John H. Brewer of Palacios; daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Wootan & Robert McEntire of Palacios and Tina Brewer & Brent Matura of Bay City; sons & daughters-in-law: Lynyard & Marty Wootan of Kilgore, TX, David & Elsa Wootan of Richland, WA, Jeffrey Wootan of Houston, and John H., II & Gina Brewer of Palacios; sister: Ruth Wingate of Palacios; brother: Malcomb Redkey of Austin; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruby Pierce.
Funeral Service was held 10:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Bob Hairston officiating. Interment followed at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.
