Doris Baker, 79, of Bay City passed away July 14, 2007. She was born September 5, 1927 in DeKalb, TX to the late Joseph Sidney Cameron & Eula Mae McMillan Cameron. She worked as a nurse's aid at Matagorda General Hospital for many years.

Survivors include two daughters Carolyn Baker of Roans Prairie, TX & Marilyn Savage of Markham; two sons Mike & Linda Baker of Sugar Land and Larry Baker of Roans Prairie, TX; sisters Irene Heffington of Salinas, CA and Dorothy Skidmore & Exie Teague both of Andrews, TX; brother Roy Cameron of Riverton, UT; grandchildren Andrea Savage of Markham, Nathan Savage of Victoria, Kristen & Oscar Lara of Blessing, Bryan & Crystal Baker of Austin, Jeff & Wendy Baker of Morgantown, WV, Chris & Scott Baker of Bay City, Haley Turner of New York City, NY, Alecia & Jason Patranella of College Station, Stephanie Baker of Huntsville & Joshua Baker of College Station; great grandchildren Vincent, Karissa & Marcus Lara, Ryan & Drew Savage and Tyler Baker; and foster brother & sister Harold & Barbara Bateman. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse O. Baker in 2005.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery.
