Dorcas Sue (Cleveland) Kleinhans passed away surrounded by family and friends on September 16, 2024. She was born in Houston, Texas on May 26, 1955 to Robert Cleveland and Dorcas Gertrude (Houghtling) Wainner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith Kleinhans, and siblings Ruth Minks, Frank Rawlins, and Robert Rawlins. Her remaining siblings are Victor Rawlins, Carol (Rawlins) Vise, and Paul Cleveland. Dorcas is also survived by her three sons: Stewart Hall, Mark Hall, and Justin Kleinhans; her daughters-in-law: Betty Hall and Molly Hall; and 2 grandchildren: Madeline and Matthew.

Her greatest joys were family, friends, and her faith in Jesus. She loved to spend time with children and volunteered in many roles over the years at her local church (Sunday school teacher, Wednesday night activities, and coordinating outings such as campouts). She was grateful for the time she had with her grandchildren and loved them so very much. She enjoyed working in her garden and being surrounded by nature.

The family extends special thanks to cousin Cheryl Minks (daughter of Ruth Minks) and friends Kristina King and Cari Nance for their tender care, compassion, and love shown to Dorcas in her final weeks of life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 2813 Carey Smith Blvd, Bay City, TX 77414.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a charity of your choice focusing on either the fight against cancer or the care/well-being of children.
