Donald Edward Janes, 34, of Bay City passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in Austin, TX. He was born November 29, 1970 in New York State to Joanne Mayer Janes and Thomas Janes. Mr. Janes Graduated from Bay City High School in 1988, and attended Wharton County, Jr. College for 2 Years.

Survivors include: Father:& Step-mother Thomas & Linda Janes of New York; 4 sisters: Susan Viator of New Iberia, LA, Sarah Janes of Jackson, MS, Jessica Mankey of Bay City, and Linda LaFrance of Goose Creek, SC; 2 brothers: Christopher Janes of Virginia, and Jon Mankey of Bay City; and step-father: Bruce Mankey of Bay City. Mr. Janes was preceded in death by his mother: Joanne Mayer Mankey, and sister: Marcia Jones.

A Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Christopher Janes, Jon Mankey, Homer Moyers, Matt Kent, and Brandon & Keith Viator. The Family will be receiving visitors from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday Night.
