Obituary
Donald Lee Gates, 61, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Matagorda Nursing Center in Bay City.
He was born June 4, 1947 in Houston, TX to Eathel Ernest and Norma L. Gates. He was a Vietnam veteran with the US Air Force, stationed in Thailand. He was a graduate of Victoria College and worked for First Data Corp. in Corpus Christi. He was currently a member of the Webber Road Church of Christ in Corpus Christi and a former member of Nichols St. Church of Christ in Bay City.
He is survived by his mother: Norma L. Gates of Bay City; by two brothers: Kenneth Wayne Gates & wife Rose Marie of Corpus Christi and David Michael Gates & wife Katheryn of Dayton; and by 2 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and by a brother, Robert Edward Gates.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Macomber officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
