Dominga G. Salazar (Sandy), of Van Vleck, Texas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday October 12, 2020. She was born March 12, 1954 in Ganado, Texas to Domingo Garza and Maria Cruz Garza.
Dominga was a devoted and loving wife of 46 years to her husband, Raymond Salazar, whom she loved dearly. Along with being a devoted wife, she was a very encouraging, caring, and protective mother, along with being a proud grandmother of many grandchildren and was excited to know she was going to be a great grandmother. She was a very strong-willed woman who was the rock to her family and had a heart big enough to help everyone.
She is preceded in death by her father Domingo Garza, sister Ruby Espinoza, and granddaughter Dominga E. Torres. She is survived by her husband Raymond Salazar of Van Vleck, Texas; daughters Velma M. Salazar (Roberto) of Van Vleck, Texas; Delores S. Perez (Rudy) of Bay City, Texas; Belinda A. Salazar (Ociel) of Bay City, Texas; Lisa M. Tilotta (Mark) of Van Vleck, Texas; Ashley R. Jennings (Preston) of Van Vleck, Texas; son Christopher R. Davis (Erin) of Austin; grandchildren Mark, Cody, Chris, Eric, Lexi, JR, Celeste, Isaac, Raylen, Korie, Ruby, JD, and Christopher; mother María Cruz Garza; brothers Juan Garza, Tommy Garza Sr, and Armando Barrera; sister Esther Ortiz and many more loving family and friends.
A Rosary will be held at 9:30am Monday October 19, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by a funeral service officiated by Father Gabriel Espinosa at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Mark Salazar, Cody Reyna, JR Rodriguez, Eric Salazar, Isaac Tilotta, and Christopher Reyna. Honorary pallbearer is grandson JD Jennings.
Mom, thank you for loving us unconditionally. We love and miss you and we will continue your legacy. You will always be our Queen.
