Diana Maria Salazar Hernandez, of Bay City, Texas entered eternal rest on October 10, 2021. She was born September 12, 1971 in Bay City to the late Raymond Salazar and Juanita Janie Aguilar.
Diana was a very strong, kind hearted, hardworking, independent woman. She was a go-getter, whatever she set her mind to she would accomplish. Diana had a passion for helping others. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and close friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for her family. Diana was able to make her dream come true when she opened her own restaurant that she named after her beloved mother, Janie's Mexican Cafe. She was very proud of her daughters and her greatest joy was her granddaughters and great granddaughter. She truly had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly.
Diana joins her mother Juanita Janie Aguilar, father Raymond Salazar, stepmother Dominga (Sandy) Salazar, grandparents Mateo Salazar Sr, Maria E. Alvarado, Johnny Mata Aguilar, Glenda Vivian Rocha Quintanilla, uncles Mateo Salazar Jr and Jose Angel Salazar, aunt Virginia Salazar, great nephew Nicholas Stephens-Arriaga in heaven.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories to her daughters Amanda Garcia (Agustin), Alexssandra Rubio, both of Bay City, TX and Crystal Garamillo (Joseph) of El Campo, TX; sisters Belinda Salazar, Velma Reyna, Delores Perez, Lisa Tilotta, Ashley Jennings, Irene Arriaga, Lisa Goslin and Glenda Lee Pena; brother Anthony Pena; grandchildren Kaylyn Castaneda, Leslie Castaneda, Emily Garcia, Gabriella Aleman and Mia Garamillo and great grandchild Ar'Kayla Castaneda.
A rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow officiated by Rev. Gabriel Espinosa. Pallbearers will be Agustin Garcia, Jose Raymond Rodriguez, Mark Anthony Salazar, Joshua Gomez Martinez, Joe Daniel Martinez, Wilber Ernesto Valle. Honorary Pallbearers will be JD and Raymond Jennings
Momma, thank you for absolutely everything, nothing went unnoticed. Thank you for being who you were and teaching us to be strong independent women. You meant the world to us and you will be missed tremendously. Please continue to watch over our family alongside our beloved angels, we love you so so much!
