Dennis C. Butler, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Bay City, Texas. Dennis was born on May 28, 1927 in Houston, Texas to the late Dennis Carlton and Effie Simmons Butler Sr. Dennis served his country during WW ll in the U. S. Navy. He was a graduate of Texas A & M University class of '48. He retired in 1985 from Ingersoll-Rand. Dennis was an avid hunter, including big game hunting in Africa. Dennis enjoyed travelling with his wife. When they went to Africa to hunt, they travelled extensively in Europe.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years Wilma Butler of Bay City; daughter Denise Solomon & husband Mike of Markham; son, James Butler of Houston; two granddaughters, Makenna Solomon and Lauren Butler.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the family property on CR 417 (Hoffman Rd.) in Markham with Rev. Hoss Gwin officiating.
