Delores Ann Nelson, 79, of Bay City passed away January 25, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She gained her Angels wings surrounded by her family. She was born September 7, 1936 in Sterling, OK. to the late Thomas Frank Lewis and Jaunita McBride Lewis.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years Clifton Nelson of Bay City; daughter Cathy McGee and husband Gary of Bay City; son Clifton Nelson Jr. (Whit) and wife Susan of Tallahassee, FL; sister Judy Brown of Bay City; brother Jarrold Lewis and wife Anita of Lawton, OK; grandchildren Les McGee and wife Nisse, Cody McGee, Joshua Nelson, Jordan Nelson and great grandson Jackson McGee.

The family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to her very special friend and caregiver Juanita Gonzales.

Delores was a homemaker, a strong Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, loved dearly by all who knew her. She taught us all many, many lessons of life. She talked the talk and walked the walk. The one thing she forgot to teach us all is how to live without her.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating and assisting will be longtime friend and pastor Byrd Mapoles of Mae Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, Milton FL.
