Delmira Rodriguez Garza, 74, of Bay City passed away October 20, 2008. She was born July 7, 1934 in Karnes City, TX to the late Juan & Maria Martinez Rodriguez. She worked for Clothes, Inc. in Bay City for 20 years.

Her parents and sisters Delia Aguilar & Dora Rodriguez preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Daniel C. Garza, Sr. of Bay City; 9 children: Pat Rodriguez, Lucy Hernandez & husband Joe, Daniel Garza, Jr. & wife Cindy, Margaret Rodriguez & husband Frank, Delfina Garza, Delia Rodriguez & husband Johnny, Eloise Huerta & husband Rubin, Darryl Garza & wife Susie & Lionel Garza & wife Betty; sisters Delfina Martinez & husband Pasqual, Neva Cortez & Tila Rodriguez; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 2:00 PM Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Frankie Rodriguez, Jeremy Rodriguez, Robert Huerta, Christopher Rodriguez, Gregory Wayne Garza, & Cody Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be: Alex Cantu, Fred Cantu, Jr., Gary Plummer, Louis Huerta, III, Bobby De La Rosa & Edward Cortez.
