Debra Ann Rye, lovingly known as Debbi, of Lyons, Texas (formerly of Bay City, Texas), passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 70.  Born in Newport, Arkansas on September 22, 1954, to Barbara and Vim X Rye.  She was a proud graduate of Bay City High School and went on to attend Lon Morris College, both of where she formed cherished, lifelong friendships.

Debbi had a creative heart and a sharp wit.  She found joy in crafting, diving into a good book, and spending time in heartfelt conversation with friends.  Above all, Debbi's greatest pride and joy was her family.

She is survived by her children, Lee Northcutt (Brooke) and Jennifer Vallely South (Mike); her grandchildren Andrew (Sage), Aurielle, Avery, Logan,  Bruce and Amelie; her great grandchildren Michael and Octavia and sister Vicki Head.  She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

Debbi's laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and we know that she is sitting on a pink cloud in Heaven.

Memorial Service will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the First Methodist Church Chapel on the corner of Ave G and 5th St. in Bay City.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your local library in her honor – an homage to her love of reading.
