David Owen Yeager, 64, of Blessing passed away June 21, 2023.  He was born July 24, 1958 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Russell Yeager and Hazel Martin Yeager.

He worked for Lyondell as an I&E technician for 35 years. He and his wife have been married for 45 loving years. One of his most favorite hobbies was racing and watching NASCAR. His dad, him and his son shared the hobby of building dodge race cars and trucks. David and his son both raced at the Edna Raceway track. David won a championship in both the bomber and street stock class at Edna Raceway. Eventually he gained more love for farming hay and cows, which he shared with his grandson. Everyone that has ever met him has loved him. He absolutely adored his grandchildren very much and is their number one fan no matter what they do. When he was able to, he would be there to support his grandchildren at any event they had going on. He would always find a way to make you laugh. He was a very loving, strongminded, mechanical, inventive, and a God-fearing man.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Yeager; daughter Angela Yeager (Gleen Vanderslice); son Joshua Yeager (Kari); sister Patricia Francis; brother Rusty Yeager (Kendra) and grandchildren Lydia Yeager, Jacob Vanderslice, Rilynn Yeager and Eva Grace Yeager. He is predeceased by his sisters Debbie Leigh Arnet and Jennifer Longoria.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather for a visitation and viewing from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Palacios Funeral Home.
