David Ybarra passed from this life on October 31, 2016. He was born in Fort Stockton, Texas on May 4, 1961 to Eulalio and Gregoria Ybarra and was the youngest of 9 children. He lived in Sanderson most of his life, before moving to Palacios where he lived the last 12 years with his sister Ninfa and brother in law David. He attended Texana Edith Armstrong Center in Bay City, Texas.
David is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eulalio Ybarra Jr.
David was a people person who liked to socialize and enjoyed special events. Through his life he was known as the life of the party and enjoyed dancing to all kinds of music. His passion for music started at an early age when he learned and spent most of his free time playing the drums. David also enjoyed going to the movies. Sitting and enjoying an ice cold Dr. Pepper and watching his favorite, The Dukes of Hazards. Yee-Haw!!
David's favorite football teams to watch were the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He had a vast collection of toy trucks and cars but his all-time favorite of the collectibles were his 18-wheeler replicas, because of his brother and brother-in-law who were truck drivers and often took him along to their job sites.
Aside from his special needs David lived a very interesting and fulfilling life. His lovable humor and charismatic attitude filled the hearts of many in his life.
He is survived by his siblings: Maria & David Collius of Madison Heights MI., Ernestina Romo of Wickett TX., Gloria Benavides of Odessa, TX., Raul Ybarra of Wickett TX, Juanita Roberson of Payson AZ., Isabel & Miguel Lara of Pecos TX., and Ninfa & David Pena of Palacios TX. Numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on November 7, 2016 at 11:00am in Sanderson, Texas at St. James Catholic Church.
