David P. Sanchez, 72, of Bay City passed away March 2, 2023.  He was born October 1, 1950 in El Campo, TX to the late Innocente Sanchez and Janie Perez Sanchez.

David will be missed by many, including his family, friends and co-workers.  He loved being with his family.  He was a talented musician playing the electric and acoustic guitar,  the accordion and harmonica to name a few.  Also important to him was his longtime career with the City of Bay City as a backhoe operator.  He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and attended there until his illness prevented him from doing so.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Janie Sanchez and brothers Daniel Sanchez and Domingo Sanchez.

Survivors include his wife Angelia Sanchez; sons Sixto Sanchez (Veronica), David Sanchez, Jr. (Rachel), Willie Sanchez (Sylvia), Demingo Sanchez (Scott) and Dean Baird (Tara); sister Delia Mueller; brother Domacio Sanchez; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Sixto Sanchez, David Sanchez, Willie Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Robert Tijerina and Travis Parks.  Honorary pallbearers are David E. Sanchez and Michael Noel Sanchez.
