David Wayne Roberson, 60, of Van Vleck passed away February 2, 2022.  He was born October 13, 1961 in Kingsville, TX to Norman Winston Roberson and Shelby Arline Roberson.

Following a spirited and adventurous time during his high school education at Van Vleck High School (graduated 1979), David went on to study aviation mechanics at TSTI in Waco.  David also served in the US Army and achieved sharpshooter status.  Later he worked in construction and was promoted to Project Manager for DiamondBack Construction where he supervised 150 employees in commercial construction.  Favorite hobbies included fishing, camping and reading about history and philosophy.  Of great importance to David was his beloved Oliver, a miniature schnauzer.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Shelby Roberson, his sister Karen Roberson, his brother Gary Roberson (Beth) and nephew Jonathan Roberson and niece Karen Alford.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Rev. Matthew Gore officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Tommy Billington, Donald Reed and Tommie Reed.
