David Mendoza, 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2015. He was born April 26, 1953 to parents Milton & Mary Mendoza. David worked for Dow Chemical for 22 years, after retiring he loved spending time working on & driving around in his beloved Pontiac Firebird Trans Am's and listening to Little Joe, his favorite singer. He also loved spending time with his 2 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family. Those of you who knew David, know he would help people whenever possible.

David is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Vera and husband, Calletano Jr. of San Antonio; sisters Terry Mendoza and husband Rick of Sweeny; JoAnn Alavarez and husband Jose of Bay City; Ida Pena and husband Miguel of Angleton; Victoria Hernandez and husband Manuel (Juan) of Boling; grandchildren Clarissa and Josiah Vera and nieces (Angel, Melody, Denise, Gabrielle, Araceli) nephews (Robert, Alfonso, Ector, Jacob) 9 great nieces & nephews and friends.

A special Thank You to Oak Bend Medical Center-Richmond: ICU team and Skilled Nursing Unit; they took awesome care of David these past few weeks.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 10, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, 2313 Ave. I, Bay City, Texas 77414.
