David H. Maitland, 62, of Bay City passed away April 9, 2006. He was born June 2, 1943 in Greenville, Virginia to Andrew and Bessie Maitland. Formerly of Norfolk, Virginia, he had been a resident of Bay city for 5 years and was a member of Rhema Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Maitland of Bay City; three daughters and sons-in-law Deborah and George Schneider of Blessing, Marlease and Bob Bucher of Virginia Beach, VA and Crystal and Jeff Farrell of Bay City; three sons Michael of Alabama, Russell of Arlington, TX and Tommy of Ft. Smith, VA; sister-in-law Elkie Maitland; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two foster grandchildren Kenny Jay and Patricia both of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Butch Maitland.

Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Villereal officiating. Interment will be at the Maitland Family Cemetery in Jarratt, Virginia. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. 979-245-4613.
