IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Silva,
Jr.
May 23, 1969 – January 20, 2022
David "Diego" Silva, Jr., 52, of Bay City passed away to be with his heavenly father January 20, 2022. He was born May 23,1969 in Bay City, TX to the late David Silva, Sr. and Suesana Silva.
A professional industrial painter by trade, he was also an award-winning artist with God-gifted natural talent that spanned his entire life. Knowledgeable in the art of Taekwondo and effectually versed in the Holy Bible, he was a member of the Bay City Art League and the End of the Road Group.
Throughout his amazing life, he was able to leave a lasting impact upon a multitude of people. Never wasting a moment to inspire, he gave hope to anyone who would listen. As a founding member of the Growing Into Men of Standard outreach ministry, he chose to use his life experiences as learning lessons to mentor at risk youth and young men.
David's artwork impacted hearts, his creations in every form, resonated far and wide. His love of art was only matched by his love for music, enjoying it as he spent his time woodworking in his garage every opportunity he had. He never met a stranger as he chose to befriend all who crossed his path, spirited, with an unparalleled passion for life. He was the perpetual animated jokester, filled with life. He was invariably enthusiastic and eager to tell you how to succeed in life. He lived his life filled with determination and a man of his word. David loved his grandchildren with all his heart, as well as loved beyond measure his family and friends. Honest to a fault, he used his past failures as the catalyst to rise up from the ashes like a phoenix, proving to the world that no one is ever a lost cause. He was able to build a beautiful life as a hard worker, a loving husband, father, step-father and grandfather "Popo" always thanking God every step of the way.
