David Wayne Johnson passed away at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX July 3, 2023 at the age of 68. He was born on September 10,1954 to Jack and Anna Johnson in Houston, TX.

David was a welder his entire life. In earlier years he worked for Brown & Root on the construction of South Texas Nuclear Power Plant and spent several years as a welder for LCRA. He then started, and ran, his own welding & ranch construction business up until his death.

He was definitely an Old School Cowboy, and that nickname stuck with him throughout his life.

David is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his son Shawn David Johnson (Kimberly) and grandchildren Madison Johnson and Cameron Johnson of Alvin, TX;  brothers Johnny (Molly) Johnson of Houston, TX and Joe (Sonia) Johnson of Bay City, TX;  sister Mary Ann Bradford of Bay City, TX. and nieces and nephews: Tiffany Bradford, Caden Bradford, Missy Johnson, Leslie Mabry (Dallas), Elle Mabry, Dallas James Mabry, Cole Johnson (Lindsey), Jack Johnson and  Lane Bradford ( Siena).

A Memorial Service will he held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Lane ParDue officiating.
