Obituary

David Parker Hinton, 82, lifelong resident of Bay City, died peacefully, surrounded by his family and close friends after a lengthy illness. David was born May 23, 1929 in Bay City. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed golf, playing dominos, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

David is survived by his children, Shelley Hinton Collins and husband Steve, Sarah Lu, Craig Parker and wife Jeannie, and Alan Lee "Spot" Hinton; and the mother of his children, Evelyn "Tunky" Hinton. David is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Julie Diane, Andrew Edward, Will Parker, and Grant Stephen Collins, Stacie Lee Herring, and Lauren Ashley and Allison Kate Hinton. He is also survived by his two sisters, Lula Mae Hinton and Sarah Hinton Hilton and husband Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.B. "Jack" and Helen Parker Hinton; and his son, David Boyd Hinton.

Visitation will be held at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, on Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Bay City with Rev. Hoss Gwin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers: Billy Pawlosky, James Mullens, Harry Treybig, W.C. "Goose" Gosling, John "Hoody" Estlinbaum, Neil Arbuckle, Kent Broussard, and Brian D. Stone. Honorary pallbearers: Paul Mayberry, Barney Mason, Donald Morris, Todd Nettles, W.B. Morrow, Cody Garcia, and Matt Lawhon.
