Darlene Esther Castaneda, 65, of Wadsworth passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2021.  Darlene was born August 3, 1956 in Whittier, California to Dewey Dwight Hall and Edrie Haynes Hall.

She spent the last 17 years working at Stanley's in Matagorda, where every person that entered, was not a customer, but a friend.

Darlene loved to take scenic drives, travel to new destinations and enjoyed her free time with her family and great grand dog, Skye.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Edrie Hall; daughters Carrie Sanders and Darla Castleberry and siblings Warren Hall, Janet Garceau, Marie Tipton and Annette Bracamonte.

Survivors include her husband Joe Castaneda; son Steven Sanders and wife Alicia; grandchildren Brittany Smith, Dylan Wilkins, Brandon Williams, Krista Stuckey and husband Ryan, Katelin Nettles, Bobby Nettles III, Carrie Castleberry, Lorelai Sanders, Stewart Castleberry and Abbilyn Sanders; great granddaughter Rosalynn Wilkins; siblings Bill Hall, Duane Hall, Rick Hall, Larry Hall, Shelvie Robinson and Karen Palmer and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Friday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 4:00 PM with Rev. Melvin Ryman officiating.
