Daniel Abad Gonzales, 22, of Palacios passed away June 14, 2025.  He was born October 28, 2002 in Victoria, Texas.

Daniel was a Jack of all trades. Any type of work he was given he succeeded expectations. Daniel loved hanging out with family and friends. He loved his nieces and nephews making sure they were taken care of. He made sure to express his love to his family with the kindest and smallest of gestures. He always made sure his Neena and Grandma Josie were fed and happy. Daniel enjoyed shooting his gun. He liked fishing. He would work on cars. And he made sure his son Rocky (his dog) was spoiled rotten and loved. And for those who really knew him, knew Daniel was a real doughboy bleeding the streets!

Survivors include his mother Vilma Diaz (Luismiguel Zamora); father Gabriel Gonzales (Rosa Flores); maternal grandmother Josefina Diaz; paternal grandparents Fernando Gonzales and Hermelinda Gonzales; sisters Andrea Gonzales, Elicia Gonzales, Azalea Gonzales and Layla Gonzales; brothers Gabriel Gonzales, Jr. and Christopher Trevino; nieces Amriee Gonzales and Alaniee Chavez and nephews Asaiah Chavez and Easton Gonzales.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios.  Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Molina, Robert Hernandez, Sean Vickers, Jacob Quintanilla, Gabriel Gonzales, Jr. and Saul Sanchez.
