Cuc Thi Nguyen went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  Cuc was born on January 10, 1940 in Ha Trai, Vietnam to the late Sang Van Nguyen and Tu Thi Bui.

Cuc had strong faith that helped her in her final days battling with heart and kidney disease. She will be remembered for her radiant smile and her ability to show love and cheerfulness even during hardships.  The kids will miss a grandma who always smiles at them.  As a devout Catholic, she was an active member of her church at Our Lady of La Vang Palacios.

She is survived by her loving family: husband Bao Tran; daughters, Van Tran & husband Allen, Nhung Terri Stoppa; sons Bryan Tran & wife Yen, John Tran & wife Lien, Alex Tran & wife Jannine; grandchildren Jennifer Lopez & husband Zach, Tiffany Hannigan & husband Dylan, Kimberly & husband Ricky Pok, Tony Anh Pham & wife Misty, Tony Thien Pham, Matthew Tran, Madeleine Tran, Michael Tran, Mia Tran, Kalli Coolen; great grandchildren, Gavin Lopez, Grayson Lopez, Henry Hannigan, Junie Pok, Tidus Pham, Autumn Thompson, Kirstin Thompson.

Rosary and Visitation at 6:30 PM on Friday at Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church, 100 Vietnam Street, Palacios, Texas.  Funeral Mass is at 10:00AM, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church, 100 Vietnam Street, Palacios, with Fr. Dominic Nguyen celebrant and Fr. Mai Xuan Khoa and Fr. Tran Dinh con-celebrants. Burial to follow at Palacios Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are her nephews, grandsons and great-grandson.  Light lunch to follow at the church hall.
