Cristina "Tina" Garcia went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011. She was born on March 3, 1931 in Cuero, TX to the late Benito Muniz & Gregoria Rodriguez Muniz. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She had a very giving and caring heart. She will be missed dearly by all.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Ruben Garcia; children Ana Garcia Pena & husband Daniel, Mary Gonzales & husband Joe, Ruben Garcia, Jr. & wife Amy, David Garcia & partner Dennis Cannon; grandchildren Leticia Acosta, Teresa Gonzales, Gregory Gonzales, Marissa Garcia, Cristina Garcia, Rachel, & AnaLiese Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Penelope Pena; great granddaugthter Isabella Acosta; brothers Robert Muniz, Braulio Muniz, Benito Muniz; sisters Felicita Merino, Dolores Lopez, and Janie Sardelich. Cristina was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Gonzales & infant son Gabrial Garcia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Sunday at the church. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home and from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the church. Pallbearers will be Mark Sardelich, Jody Muniz, Frankie Trevino, Robert Muniz, Braulio Muniz & Philip Sardelich. Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Gonzales & Gabrial Garcia.
