Obituary
Coy Chester Ramsey, Jr., 83, of Bay City passed away January 30, 2017. He was born January 17, 1934 in Palacios, Texas to the late Coy Chester Ramsey, Sr. and Mary Magdalene Crocker Ramsey.
He attended the University of Texas where he was a member of the Longhorn Band. He served in the US Army. He worked 24 years as an accountant for the Matagorda County Auditor's office retiring 3 weeks prior to his 80th birthday.
He married Norma Jean Sherrer in July of 1961. She preceded him in death January 6, 2017. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Karen Jean Ramsey, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include son Bruce A. Ramsey & wife Patricia and 2 grandsons Benjamin and Dean Ramsey.
Private interment will be at Hawley Cemetery. The family will host a reception at his home Wednesday, February 1, 2017 beginning at 5:30 PM.
