Constance Langham Hale, 95, of Bay City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 24, 2006. She was born September 6, 1911 in Bay City to Charles Langham and Martha Dantzler Langham. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City, a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary in Bay City.
She loved her Lord and her family. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughters: Martha Engman & husband Robert of Brazoria and Constance Martin of Little Rock, AR; and by her sister: Rose Newman of Bay City. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Chris Engman, Brad Engman, Amy Engman, Charlotte Blanks, Tricia Dixon, George Chadwick, Caren McNeill, and Cathy Hazzard; and her special niece: Nanci Bunk & husband Dr. John Bunk of Rosenberg. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin Leonard "Sparky" Hale; her parents: Charles & Martha Langham; by a daughter: Barbara Chadwick; by sisters: Martha Foley and Charlotte Pawlosky; and by her great-nephew: Blake Bunk.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9 PM Wednesday and the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the First United Methodist Chapel in Bay City with Revs. Chris Harrison and Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Dr. John Bunk, Craig Bunk, Charles Bunk, George Chadwick, Jim Gann, and G.P. Hardy, III.
