IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cody Dale
Holloway
October 31, 1972 – December 10, 2020
Cody Dale Holloway left this earth to be with the Lord on December 10, 2020, with the love of his life, Nathaniel Licudine, by his side. Cody was born on October 31, 1972 in Bay City, TX to Marshall Holloway and Regina Muzny Holloway. Cody grew up in Blessing, TX and graduated from Tidehaven High School in 1991. While in junior high and high school Cody held numerous jobs around Blessing, including the Blessing Hotel, Tony's Cafe and the American Legion to name a few. He first attended college at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, TX on a scholarship as the men's basketball trainer. He spent three years at TVCC with his last two as the cheerleader team trainer. He transferred to University of Houston Victoria where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a Minor in Math. While on breaks from college, Cody enjoyed traveling the country and world while working for Universal Cheerleading Association. After college, he started teaching school at Bay City Junior High, where he was a math teacher and volleyball coach, and later became head of the math department. While teaching at BCISD, Cody was also an adjunct instructor at WCJC. He stepped away from education to become a petroleum land man, but it was not long before he was called back to BCISD as a high school math teacher. While teaching, Cody continued pursuing his Master's Degree in Education, which he earned from U of H Victoria. He spent several years back in education before moving on to work with Fluor in Bay City and then on to Greenville, South Carolina, where he and Nat met. After his contract ended with Fluor he moved back to Bay City and into the Nursing Home business. He was hired as the Assistant Administrator at Matagorda Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Little did he know in a short time he would be thrust into the Administrator position, and he took the position in stride, like he did with most things in his life. Cody took the facility from an average facility to the top facility in the area in a few years. He had the ability to bring energy back into anything he put his mind to, which he did with MNHRC. Cody and Nat were married on June 10, 2017. In 2019 Cody moved to Riverdale, Georgia, to finally be with the love of his life. He became the Assistant Administrator at Dunwoody Nursing Home in Atlanta, where he continued to touch many lives. Cody was a member of numerous organizations, and was super passionate about the Bay City Evening Lions Club.
Cody was an educator, a nursing home administrator, a mentor and a true angel on earth. He never met a stranger and was a friend to so many. He pushed so many to achieve, and to never give up on anything they set their mind to. He truly lived life with a purpose and to the fullest, and so many people are better because of him. Cody truly loved his family, friends, coworkers, but most of all loved Nat with all he had.
Cody is survived by his husband Nat, his JoJo, mother Regina Holloway, father Marshall Holloway (Joyce), brother Heath Holloway (Elle), niece Taylor Holloway, mother and father in-law Zeny (Momma Zen) and Bart (Papa Bart) Licudine, brothers- in-law Michael and Danny (Big Dawg) Licudine, step-brother Jason Wheaton, step-sister Shannon Halcumb and Amanda (Gary) Clarke.
