Cleta Gail Stewart has gone to rejoice with her lord and all that have gone before her. She was born November 1, 1943 in Clarendon, TX to the late John Lee & Margie Laverne Hopkins and passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 in Bay City. She was the former manager at Bay City Country Club.

Cleta leaves to cherish one daughter: Vickie Stewart Harvey & husband Roger of Houston; son: Charlie Stewart & wife Dawn of Van Vleck; 7 grandchildren: Ashlee Young, Courtney Stewart & Michael Boone, Joycelin Huerta & husband Ray, Clyde Harvey, Kendall Harvey, Halie Stewart, and Harlie Stewart; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Johnny Hopkins & wife Regina of Dancinger, Dan Hopkins & wife Marilyn of Corpus Christi, and Skipper Hopkins & wife Doris of Sweeny; and special friends: Darlene & Wilber Hoffman, Patti Poole, and Angie Yawls.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hutson and Rev. Bob Hobbins officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Shannon Hoffman, Robert Poole, Michael Hopkins, Richard Hopkins, Jimmy Cleckley & Michael Boone. Honorary pallbearers will be Laney Rongey, Cody Holloway, Dusty Hopkins, Rex Hopkins and Bret Hutson.
