Clarence Luther Jenkins, Jr., 85, formerly of Van Vleck passed away August 31, 2012. He was born April 11, 1927 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the late Clarence Luther Jenkins, Sr. and Alma Peters Jenkins. He was a member of the Baptist Church and served his country in the Army Air Force.

His wife Irene Davis Jenkins preceded him in death in 2009. Survivors include daughters and their husbands Wanda & Leonard Roberson of Livingston and Beverly & Ernie Croucher of Richmond, TX; son Russell Davis and his wife Carol of Missouri City; brother Joe Jenkins & his wife Anita of Vidor, TX; grandchildren Dee Ann Cathey, Donna Lynn McCollum, Jana Davis, Lauren Davis, Pinney Jones, Melanie Thompson and Melissa Croucher; great grandchildren Kristen Lynn Beuhler, Megan Dee Ann McCollum and Kaylen Davis; great-great grandson Brandon Matthew Beuhler; nephew Greg Jenkins and special friends Beverly & Gene Perrier.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will be 4:30 PM Sunday at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, TX.
