Clara Lee Hauk, 93, of Matagorda, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2006 in Bay City. She was born May 24, 1913 in Kingsbury, TX to Henry Lee Green and Callie Surber Green. She was a lifelong resident of Matagorda and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Matagorda.

She is survived by her son: Robert L. "Bob" Hauk & wife Judy of Gatesville; by her brothers: Marvin Green of Bay City and Homer Green of Matagorda; by her grandchildren: Bobby Hauk, Debra Lynn Bingham, and David Hauk; and by her great grandchildren: Telia Brewster, Chris Sneath, Braxton Hauk, Bailey Hauk and Coryn Hauk. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Louis Hauk; her sister: Dorothy Carlton; and by her brothers: Harold Green and Austin Green.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church of Matagorda with Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at the Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda. Pallbearers will be: Robert J. Carlton, David Wayne Hauk, David Smith, Sonny Sciba, James Luedecke, and Aubry Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Sneath, Braxton Hauk, Bailey Hauk, Marvin Green and Homer Green.
