Obituary
Chloe Claire Conoly Pursley, 41, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her home in Sienna Plantation, on March 7, 2018.
Claire is survived by her sons Taylor (17), Rucker (8), Crew and Conoly (5) and her husband Jeff Pursley. Her mother Chloe Jones and husband Gus, her father Bill Conoly and wife Carolyn. Her brothers Porter Taylor and wife Lauren, Charles Conoly, Steven Jones, Kirk and Bradley Taylor, sisters Alanna Conoly, KC Dennehy and husband Neal, and Hillary Robertson. She is also survived by her adoring nephews and nieces: Porter, Dunagan, Edda and Harper Claire; and a host of loving cousins. Preceeded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Landrum "Velma & Nini", Mr. and Mrs. William Z. Conoly," "Papa Bud and Welita" and Great Aunt and Uncle Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Landry "Momo."
Born in Houston, TX October 20th, 1976. This shy beauty stole her parent's hearts just like she would continue to do so to everyone she met the rest of her life- friends, strangers and strays alike. This all American brown-eyed girl could hold her own on the soccer field, wake-boarding with her boys, saddling a horse and hunting at the Conoly Ranch in Brackettville. Claire was an incredible mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend, teacher and animal lover. Claire loved watching her boys play sports: football, soccer, lacrosse and baseball, her pride and love for her boys will always remain immeasurable. Claire loved nothing more than to laugh and laugh hard – she would tell the same story over and over again laughing harder each time. Claire will be remembered always for her huge heart, warm smile and contagious laugh. We all could learn about how to love from Claire.
The family will be receiving guests at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, Sunday evening March 11th, 4-6pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church 2001 Katy Ave., Bay City, Monday, March 12th, 10am. Pallbearers will be Will Conoly, Stanford Conoly, Josh Vela, Chris Menefee, Scott Perdue, Chad Hibbard. Honorary pallbearers are Stan Conoly, Zuehl Conoly, Wyatt Conoly, Wilder Conoly, David Conoly, John Deiker, John Peden.
