Ciara Lynn Rodriguez, 16, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was born June 29, 2005, to April Lopez and Lawrence Rodriguez.

Ciara was a beautiful soul whose light shined on everyone around her. She was truly a delight to be around. Regardless of her situation, she always fought hard and did it with a big smile on her face. She was always cracking jokes and enjoyed life to the fullest. Ciara cared about others before she cared about herself. She was always giving, and never wanted anything in return. She loved spending time with her nephew, Dra-ven. She is gone too soon and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her parents, April Lopez and step-dad Rafael Mendez and Lawrence Rodriguez and Lisa Page Rodriguez; grandparents, Rosa Rodriguez, Leo Sliva, James Lopez, Sr., and Michelle Diaz (Johnnie Vasquez); sisters, Jessica Nicole Rodriguez, and Selena Vargas; brothers, Marcos Ray Baker, and Lawrence Rodriguez, Jr.; and nephew, Dra-ven Angel Rodriguez.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Nichols Street Church of Christ in Bay City, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm with Rev. Thomas Lomas officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers for Ciara will be Lawrence Rodriguez, James Lopez, Jr., James Lopez, Sr., Jeffery Page, Alfred Buckley, and Chris Rogers.
