Christopher Martin Tijerina, 27, of Bay City passed away July 30, 2013. He was born March 19, 1986 in Bay City, Texas to Kenneth Tamez and Janie Tijerina.

His grandfather Martin Tijerina, Sr., great grandparents Juliana Ramirez, Angela Ochoa and Mr. & Mrs. Dionico Tijerina, Sr. all preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother Janie Tijerina Galvan & husband Eddie of Blessing; father Kenneth Tamez of Dallas; grandparents Mamie R. Tijerina of Bay City & Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Tamez, Sr. of Dallas; children Jazmyn Marie Tijerina, Alessandra Sophia Tijerina, Christopher Martin Tijerina, Jr. & Andrew Martin Tijerina all of Bay City; sister Mallorie Martyna Tijerina of Blessing; aunts and uncles Martin & Sylvia Tijerina of Bay City, Gloria Tijerina of El Campo, Sylvia Sanchez, Cathy Parker, Jesse Tamez, Lupe Tamez, Yolanda Weyrick and Cindy Michel all of Dallas; God Parents Teresa & Michael Guanajuato and special friend Victoria Ruiz.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Monday, August 5, 2013 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Latin American Cemetery in Edna, Texas. Pallbearers will be Patrick Tijerina, Robert Kalob Tijerina, Damien Sauceda, Alex DeLaRosa, Shay Medina & Braulio Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Bermea, Edward Perez, Steve Ramirez, JayVer Madison, Christopher (Brody) Oretega, Andrew Haney and James Rodriguez.
