IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Eric
Schneider
October 17, 1978 – February 6, 2025
Christopher Eric Schneider, 46, of Bay City passed away February 6, 2025. He was born October 17, 1978 in Bay City to Marvin (Berny) Schneider and Pamela Sue McGinty Schneider.
After completing high school, Chris first began working at Bay City Pawn Shop, then moved on to Sutherlands, where he was training to become manager. A few years later, he accepted a position at Matagorda Oilfield Specialty (MOS), where he spent the next 23 years, managing the business for a majority of those years. He was passionate about his job and extremely gifted at what he did. Chris considered his co-workers at MOS family.
"We got to see our amazing son come into this world and were with him when he left this world. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
We depended on him so much, always saying 'We need help with this and we need to call Chris.' Even now with making his arrangements we need his help. He lived to help people. If we had one word to describe our son, it would be 'Peacemaker.'
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9.
Our son was so bold and not one to be ashamed to tell others about Our Lord and Savior. He wasn't perfect and had his struggles, but we know without a doubt he loved the Lord. He so wanted others to live for Jesus. He cared much more about others than he did for himself, giving his all to anyone that needed his help. His love was BIG with his family, friends, and with anyone he came in contact with.
We will miss him dearly. Our comfort is to know that this isn't the end, and we will be united with him someday."
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marvin and Grace Schneider, maternal grandparents Andy and Freda McGinty, and his Uncle Bill McGinty.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his son Landon Schneider and wife Summer, and grandson Joseph; daughter Kirra Schneider; brother Jonathan Schneider and wife Angela; niece Emilee and nephews Jacob and Cole Schneider; and girlfriend Natalie Garza.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday February 13, 2025 at Family Worship Center. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM with Rev. George Frank Craft and Rev. Noe Cano officiating. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 &17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
