Charlie James Reese, Jr. was born on April 24, 1921 in Wadsworth, Texas to the late James Reese, Sr. and Omay Deloras Williams Reese. He passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. Charlie grew up in Jackson County, Texas. He attended Civil Conservation Corp Camp in 1939. He then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard serving in WWll. He then worked in the smelting department at Alcoa Plant. Charlie then went to work for the City of Bay City as the Assistant Director of Public Works. Charlie also worked as a Heavy Equipment Superintendant. He is survived by his brother; Johnny Reese and wife Pat; sister; Mildred Reese Griffith and Dorothy Reese Allen; sisters-in-law, Lillian (Lydia) Reese; Step-son, Chuch Oglesby; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters; Tresa Nora Reese, Rosalea Tumlingson, brothers, Tommie Reese, Gillius Reese, Tony Calvin Reese and Eddie Reese; by sisters-in-law Shirley Reese, Dorothy Reese, and Lavon Reese. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6p.m. at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, Sept 13, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Houston Hospice, 305 Sandy Corner Rd., El Campo, Texas Texas 77437.
