Charles Yanez, 60, of Bay City received his call home to Heaven on July 9, 2024 at his family home in Bay City, Texas.  He was born August 31, 1963 to Lupe Yanez, Sr. and Eloisa Losoya Yanez in Bay City, Texas.

He married Rachel Yanez on November 25, 1988 and fathered 5 children, Crystal Yanez, Ashley Yanez, Jessica Yanez, Robert Yanez and Sara Yanez.  He worked as a Flooring Specialist and retired from Bay City Flooring in 2007.

He was an avid Bible reader, jailhouse minister, and lover of birds, especially the neighborhood yard chickens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lupe Yanez, Sr. and Eloisa Yanez, brothers Robert Yanez, Patrick Yanez and Ernest Yanez and sisters Lucille Rubio and Anna Yanez.

Charles is survived by his brothers Lupe Yanez (Delia), Mack Yanez (Margaret); sisters Irene Escobar (Wally) and Paula Sedillo; son Robert Yanez; daughters Crystal Almanza (Steve), Ashley Yanez, Jessica Yanez and Sara Yanez; grandchildren Thai Yanez, Grayson Almanza, Estefania Almanza, Micca Almanza, Ethan A. Hernandez-Yanez, Isabella N. Hernandez-Yanez, Angelina L. Hernandez-Yanez, Evan Yanez, Aaliyah Kelley, Emma Yanez, Nicole Gonzales, Jimmy Yanez and Tommy "TJ" Burnett, Jr. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Fidel Pesina of Turning Point Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery on Golden Ave.  Pallbearers will be Robert Yanez, Evan Yanez, Wesley Escobar, Mack Yanez, Jr., Richard Gonzales, Joe John Yanez, Jr. and Marcos Gonzales, Jr.
