Obituary

Charles was born in Abbeville, LA. Charles served in the United States Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. Charles was a barber by trade and owned his own shop for 38 years

He volunteered at the Matagorda County Genealogical Society. He served 2 missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Charles is survived by his son: Charles W. Talbot and wife Linda; by his grandchildren: Kathryn E. (Glen) Barney, Jennifer L. (Chris) Roundy and Chad R. Talbot; and by his great grandson: Kaden Barney. His wife, Opal, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14555 Lexington Blvd. Sugar Land, TX with Bishop Emilio Martinez officiating. VFW graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, TX.
