Obituary
Charles Ray Reed, 80, of Sweeny, passed away December 25, 2016. He was born February 28, 1936 in Teague, TX to Clemente Coy and Ina Lee Gilliam Reed.
Charles was a faithful servant of our Lord. He served his country in the National Guard and was a Gideon. Charles loved to hunt and fish and be around cattle.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jo Maudine Adams Reed; children, D.J. Bittner, Ray Reed, Jerry Reed, Donald Reed, Tommie Reed and Nancy Hanka; sisters Connie Roberson and Coy Lynn Stavinoha; brother Maffitt (Matt) Reed; adopted granddaughters Reannon Reed and Deannon Best, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 7:00-8:00pm Tuesday, December 27 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Salem Cemetery Chapel in Teague, TX.
