Charles Pearson Jinks February 22, 1962 – January 14, 2026

Charles or Pearson as the family called him was born in Canada to Charles Pearson Jinks and Elizabeth Jinks and grew up enjoying the beautiful weather in Southern California. He is survived by his children Charles Kikkert and Diane Jinks-Kikkert, his mother Elizabeth Jinks and two sisters Charlotte Ware and Elizabeth Youngberg.

Growing up in Southern California he learned to skate board and surf. Later in life he settled in South Texas so he could take advantage of the warm beaches. He also took joy in crabbing and fishing. Often bringing relatives some of his catch.

Charles was a social butterfly who enjoyed meeting new people and trading stories. He had faith in God and raised his children going to church. He had a gift for gardening and took pride in his large garden. When his daughter Diane was young, he would find her in the garden with a mouth full of cherry tomatoes and basil. During the summers Charles would go hiking with his son in the Sierra Nevada mountains. His son Charles finds happiness sharing his stories of their adventures there.

Charles was a kind-hearted man who will be missed dearly.
