Obituary
Charles H. Attaway, 91, of Bay City, TX passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009. He was born July 8, 1918 in Carthage, TX to Alonzo Clifton Attaway and Opal Anderson Attaway. He was a former resident of Galveston, TX and Greenwood, LA. He was a retired Auditor from American National Insurance Co and US Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth Pinachio Attaway of Bay City; his sisters: Dorothy Vaughan of Greenwood, LA and Peggy Connell of Bay City, TX; and his brother: William H. Attaway of Bulverde, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo Clifton and Opal Anderson Attaway.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 29, 2009 at The United Methodist Church of Greenwood, Louisiana with Brother Chuck Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Louisiana. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Brett Attaway, Pete Peters, Jeff Davidson, Mark Davidson, Aaron Attaway, Cory Peters, David Davidson, and Kip Attaway.
