Catarina Ramirez Shepard, 83, of Bay City passed away July 3, 2015. She was born January 20, 1932 in Cedar Creek, TX to the late Candelario Alba Ramirez and Gertrules Luna Lerma Ramirez. She was a member of both Our Lady of Guadalupe and Holy Cross Catholic Churches and a life member of VFW Post 2438 Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Addison Shepard and her siblings Felipe Lerma Ramirez,Pablo Ramirez, Carmel Ramirez Torrez, Lenor Ramirez Trevino, Margarita Ramirez Aleman, Antonioa Ramirez Eguia and Candelario Ramirez. Survivors include sons David Addison Shepard & wife Anne, Thomas Wayne Shepard & wife Patricia and James Allen Shepard; sister Cruz Ramirez Leal and 5 grandchildren Jessica Shepard, Ashlee Shepard, David Shepard, Jr., Bailey Huse and Thomas Shepard.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandson Thomas Shepard, nephews Eddie Eguia, Johnny Aleman, Danny Ramirez, George Leal, Tony Leal and Frank Trevino.
