Carrie Lee Hebel, 81, of Palacios, Texas passed away July 3, 2015. She was born in Palacios on June 20, 1934 to James Jesse and Myrtle Snider Hebel.
Carrie spent 40 years (1956-1996) teaching at Eastside Elementary School in Palacios.
Carrie is preceded in death by her parents and great nephew Joshua Allen Hebel. She is survived by her sister Anita Keeling and husband Sam; brother James Lester Hebel; nephews James Edwin Hebel, John Gary Hebel, Jeffery Allen Hebel and James Leo Keeling; great nieces Jessica Hebel and Sarah Hebel, and great nephew Branson Hebel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Joshua Allen Hebel Memorial Scholarship Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 209 Lucas, Palacios, TX 77465.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday, July 6 at Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are her nephews and Jamie Stuhrenberg.
