Carla Marie Cothron, 63, of Sweeny, Texas, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 21, 2020. She was born in Lueders, Texas to Edward Wendell and Mary Fern Jamar Crowson. Carla happily raised three children and worked in the management field for a long time before she was forced to retire from work due to medical conditions. She received a kidney transplant in July of 2010 and it renewed her outlook on life but was still left unable to work. She then filled her days with spending as much time as she could with her grandkids, family and friends. Carla was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Carla was preceded in death by her father Edward Crowson, her mother Mary Jamar Crowson and her sister Teresa Darrell. She is survived by her son Jason D. Ellis, her daughter Kimberley D. Ellis and son Robert P. Hickson, her grandchildren, Savannah, Krystie, Jason, Neelie, Aden and Maryah, her brothers Mike and Ricky Crowson and wives, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and close friends.
