Bruno Olvera, Sr., 75, of Bay City, Tx passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 peacefully at home. He was born in Bay City, Tx on May 24, 1934 to parents Indalesio Olvera and Andrea Robles Olvera.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Manuel Olvera, daughter Beatrice Olvera, son Raul Olvera, nephew Indalesio Olvera.

He serviced in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired carpenter by trade.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 yrs, Blanca Munivez Olvera of Bay City, children: Sons, Manuel Olvera Sr and wife Diana of Blessing, Bruno Olvera Jr and wife Danita of Gonzales, LA, Milton Olvera and Carlos Olvera of Houston; Daughters, Lupe Olvera Pettit and husband James Cochran of Houston, Lorraine Esquivel and husband Joe of Blessing, Elaine Santiago of Houston, Irene Olvera Carrillo and husband Chris, and Laura Carreon and husband Sergio of Houston; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, Brothers, Milton Olvera and wife Olivia of Texas City, Indalesio Olvera and wife Alice of Dickinson, sister-in-law Juanita Olvera of Houston and a host of relatives and friends.

Rosary will be held at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 8, 2010 at. Services will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Mark Rodriguez Jr, Steven Esquivel, Manuel Olvera Jr, Daniel Anderson Jr, Daniel Olvera, and Bruno Olvera III. Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Solis and Jimmy Garza.
